Question What Are Fragrance Decants?
AnswerSo simply, we buy fragrance bottles from the manufacturer and we transfer the fragrance to smaller bottles called Decants or Samples. Decanting a fragrance means to transfer the fragrance to another container.
Question Why Buy Decants?
AnswerTwo main reasons:

  1. Fragrances are expensive!
    We buy whole bottles of fragrances so that you don’t have to. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a fragrance bottle that you may not even like, you can just get a decant for a fraction of the price. This way you can test the fragrance properly and see how it performs on your unique skin. This means no disappointing blind-buys and more money in your pocket.
  2. There are so many scents to explore!
    The art of perfumery is a neverending journey full of beautiful discoveries. The perfumes we like, represent a part of our artistic personality and we can only discover this by smelling more fragrances. Decants are the best way to smell more and spend less.

Question Are The Fragrances Authentic?
AnswerYes! All the fragrances bottles we use for decanting are either purchased directly from the manufacturer or from an authorized retailer of the brand. You can rest assured that you are getting 100% authentic perfume which is decanted directly into the decant bottle.

Question How Do You Make The Fragrance Decants?
AnswerAll of our fragrances are stored at 18°C (64.4°F) at low humidity to ensure that the quality and freshness of our decants and samples.
Fragrances are transferred to a new decant bottle using a new syringe to protect the fragrance from aeration and the top notes from evaporating.
Decants are then labeled and shipped to you right away.
Question Do You Label The Decants?
AnswerYes! Every decant/sample is clearly labeled with the following information

  • Name of the house
  • Name of the fragrance
  • Concentration (e.g. Eau de Parfum)
  • Decant size (in mL)
  • Batch Code (if requested)

Question Are The Decant Bottles Glass or Plastic?
AnswerWe only use glass decants!
Glass decants can hold your fragrance for a very long time and will protect the fragrance from undergoing chemical changes which would alter the scent. Glass is also great for the environment! That’s why all our decants (even the 1mL vials) are made 100% from glass.
